We have two cacao bars, both in San Marcos La Laguna on Lake Atitlán. The Cacao Bar is tucked inside The Hidden Garden above the village, and the Mini-Bar is on Hippie Highway in the centre of town.

Both are open Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday. Opening times differ slightly between the two, so open the map listing for the one you are coming to and check its hours there.

Where the cacao is grown

San Marcos is where we are based, not where the cacao grows. That happens in La Chúa and the Polochic Valley in Alta Verapaz, several hours north, on land farmed by Q’eqchí families.
